The Insurance Training Manager will report directly to the VP, Underwriting Services and work collaboratively with all departments to manage training team to oversee the development and execution of the Insurance Training Curriculum.
The UW Services team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for Insurance Training Manager to join us.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Member of the UW Services Leadership Team, including building key relationships with UA Operations leader, understanding training needs and gaps and bringing to the LT feedback and opportunities for go-forward.
  • Drive a feedback culture by holding regular 1on1s with team members, providing both positive and constructive feedback on performance in order to identify growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement changes as necessary to continually improve employee performance and productivity.
  • Stay up to date with the latest training trends and technologies and implement best practices in the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Oversee creation of user guides, job aids, e-learning modules, and other training materials to ensure accuracy and use of best practices for training documentation.
  • Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships across North America Operations, to ensure open and transparent communication across the division and insight into broad training needs, including system changes and enhancements.
  • Project Management and delivery of corporate training programs to include new hire training, progressive tenure-based skills training and system training.
  • Lead team of a regional training specialists that are responsible to design and execute innovative learning experiences that will help build skills needed for today and tomorrow.
  • Where required, contribute to the delivery informative and engaging virtual training experiences, with ability to lead training on Everest systems such as ImageRight, Policy Decisions, ESCAPE, EverPedia, and Edmund.
  • Create and promote a collaborative and transparent team culture, that includes responsibility to recruit talent and successfully onboard new team members.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years in training and/or learning and development, preferably in the (re)insurance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the P&C Policy Life Cycle and end-to-end value chain is a plus.
  • Experience designing and delivering effective training programs, including material creation.
  • Experience with learning and development technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel (PIVOT Tables), Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience.
  • University degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years in a people leader role.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent organizer, flexible and able to work optimally under tight timeframe.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programs that drive business results.
  • Excellent sense of ownership and accountability that transfer to delivery of the operation.
  • A collaborative and team-based approach to business, valuing an inclusive approach.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and evaluation techniques.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to articulate complex topics in an easy-to-consume way.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership: encourage, empower, develop, and lead a team while providing constructive feedback.
  • Ability to lead virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Intellectual curiosity to delve into and solution various business problems.
  • You possess rigorous program management skills coupled with a passion for blended and engaging facilitation.
  • Can navigate ambiguity and can work effectively in a changing and quickly evolving environment.
