The Instructional Designer will be a key role in our Employee Development Team. This team’s main objective is highly related to Salud’s strategic success, which relies on a robust and effective onboarding and overall training program. The right candidate will have a passion for designing and developing engaging learning experiences which result in learners acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.


Responsibilities


  • In this role, you will design and develop high quality learning experiences and materials including web-based training, synchronous virtual training, video tutorials, job aids, etc.
  • Use authoring tools and multimedia software to develop interactive and engaging training content.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create effective learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, members of the employee development team, and other stakeholders to determine scope of instruction, identify learning objectives, define an instructional strategy, create content, and evaluate the effectiveness of the instruction.
  • Participate in continuous review, improvement, and development of learning materials.


Required Skills/Qualifications


  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate, and Microsoft Office (Adobe Captivate is a must).
  • Strong skills in video authoring, audio editing and narration, animation, and related technologies.
  • High level of organization and motivation with ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex concepts and transform them into clear, concise, and visually appealing instructional materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of organization.
  • Knowledge and application of best practices in instructional design and learning technologies.
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
  • Ability to work well with tight deadlines in a fast-paced course development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.


Preferred Skills/ Qualifications


  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) (Litmos is a plus).
  • Experience leading training in both in classroom and online settings.
  • Familiarity with instructional design models including ADDIE, Dick & Carey Model, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Instructional Systems Technology, Education or related field.


Candidates will need to provide a portfolio/demo of previous work during selection process.
