Omnidian is building a more sustainable future for the planet. We assure that IoT-enabled distributed energy assets perform at their best through our passionate teams, our innovative technology, and by creating an amazing customer experience. We're a well-funded, growth-stage company offering the potential for enormous impact, both on our products and on the world.

We are headquartered in Seattle, and are a remote first organization.

As the Installation Services Manager, you will be responsible for the performance and profitability of Omnidian's Permission to Operate (PTO) product offering. This entails ensuring the successful completion of residential solar projects on behalf of the financial lender when the original developer is unable to complete the installation. Your primary responsibility will be to energize solar projects in a timely manner while ensuring that Omnidian provides exceptional customer and client support. Additionally, you will effectively manage installation contractors.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive progress on solar projects in Omnidian’s PTO pipeline by coordinating with Omnidian’s Customer Support, Portfolio Operations (client management), and Field Service Network management teams
  • Client Support: Provide regular reporting to clients, request funds from clients to remediate issues preventing projects from achieving PTO
  • Develop and maintain relationships with utility companies and AHJs, keeping abreast of their policies, requirements, and procedures
  • Stay up to date with relevant industry trends, installation practices, and regulatory changes
  • Prepare regular progress reports and provide updates to clients and senior management
  • As necessary, restructure Omnidian operations to improve performance, including the following functions:
  • Field Service Network Management: Manage installation contractors, ensuring they adhere to quality standards, timelines, allotted budget, and AHJ or Utility guidelines
  • Customer Support: Collaborate with customers to address any concerns or issues and provide timely and accurate updates on the progress of their projects
Who You Are

  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • ARTful: Accountability, Respect, Transparency
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions quickly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, contractors, lenders, utilities and AHJs
Experience You’ll Need

  • Existing connections with utility companies and AHJs a plus
  • Proven experience managing solar installation projects from start to finish
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the solar industry
  • Leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of installation practices, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes across various jurisdictions in the country
