Inspector Packer Jobs

Shift: Day Shift: (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) or Night Shift- $2 more/hour: (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Pay Rate: $16.43/HR

City, State: Chillicothe, MO

While reporting to the Supervisor, as an Inspector Packer you will be responsible for packing all finished goods to go to the customers. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are all important to the Sonoco culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Tend machines, such as trim press and pack station parts handling equipment
• Inspect stacks of parts for defects
• Build and/or stage all packaging material per Product Specification
• Cut and stack sheet when needed
• Place parts in bag, seal bag and place in corrugated boxes
• Fill out label and flow bills correctly
• Place parts in specified relationship to each other
• Use pallet jacks to place skids of product in warehouse
• Help train new employees when necessary
• Retrieve parts from trim press
• Grind sheet and trays as needed
• Assist Operator when starting line

• You will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• To succeed in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being safety and quality focused is a must.
• Repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time are required.
• Previous experience in plastics is extremely helpful
• You will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
