About The Role


The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers directly by telephone, mail and/or in-person. Activities often include handling inquiries, processing orders, and selling or promoting additional sales. May be involved in verifying product availability, delivery, and pricing. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.


What You’ll Do


  • Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Identify revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Engage in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
  • Identify and close additional purchases of products and services by customers' communities.
  • Ensure suspect identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the B2B infrastructure and e-commerce industries.
  • Respond to requests from customers for information and give online presentations.
  • Work closely with Support, Community Management, Account Management, and Business Development teams.
  • Prospect, qualify, and generates sales within the company’s established trading partners.

And These Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel locally 15% of the time.
  • Two years in customer service, or in a role that involves public speaking.
  • A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role.
  • Experience specifically in the Transportation, Logistics, or Shipping industry.
