Are you a manufacturing professional with experience in injection molding? Our Atlanta, GA plant has multiple openings for an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician!

The Manufacturing / Process Technician maintains production yields by directly inspecting and/or reviewing reports and coordinating with other shifts to keep the process at peak efficiency and quality. (“Process” refers to in this job context the entire molding process including equipment, settings, auxiliary units, robotics, etc.) In addition, this role directs and executes tool changes, utilizing RTC (Rapid Tool Change) techniques, per the production schedule.

  • Shift: Day Shift 5a-5:30p M-F with rotating weekends
  • Pay: $27-$30/hr DOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains process efficiency by keeping all logs and information needed for production reporting current.
  • Works with Production Control to maintain the RTC calendar.
  • Submits close-out/re-start data to Quality.
  • Performs inspection and review tasks to keep the process functioning at better than 95% yield.
  • Answers equipment alarms and documents changes as required.
  • Enhances team efficiency by training and directing the training of less experienced personnel as designated by the Molding Team Leader.
  • Eliminates downtime by writing and processing work orders for/on damaged equipment requiring repair.
  • Improves working conditions by providing supervision of the workplace environment with particular emphasis on safety.
  • Perform Automation process/maintenance work as need it.
  • Performs shut-down and close-out activities.
  • Performs daily mold cleanings as instructed in the Process Binders.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Accomplishes repair of process/equipment as needed and directed by the daily priorities.
  • Executes all RTC events utilizing the RTC Checklist.

REQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing preferably in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • B asic understanding of the injection molding process, machinery, and molds.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn Jabil systems and processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
  • Experience operating Plastic Injection Molding Presses is highly preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in an injection molding facility as a technician.

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.68 - $31.70. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, education (if requirement noted above), geographic location, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
