IT Analyst (DevSecOps Engineer)
Baltimore MD, Philadelphia, PA or Chicago, IL Metro Areas
Hybrid Remote (1-2 Day On-Site Expectation)
12-Month Contract-to-Hire
$28-32/hr
The ideal IT Analyst will be given the opportunity to support the highly collaborative Customer IT team, focusing on ‘Infrastructure as Code’, automating code management and deployment, application performance management, and code scanning (quality and security). This team also has great exposure to Analytics, Security, and FinOps, working to build automated pipelines to developers for various customer IT projects and enhancements. The selected IT Analyst will be able to work autonomously and be eager to learn and grow in an agile, cross-functional environment. Requirements:
- Possesses excellent analytical, organizational, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn about Financial Operations (FinOps) and how our client can automate their environment to be more cost-efficient, cost-effective and dynamically allocate/de-allocate.
- Python is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork skills with self-motivation to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment.
- 0-2 years of experience working with software development languages (Ex: Python, Perl, C#, Java, Javascript, NodeJs, .NET, HTML, AngularJS, iOS Swift on/or Objective-C, Android Mobile, Xamarin)
- Excellent communication skills - Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or similar field OR equivalent experience.
- Strong software development capabilities coupled with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of advanced programming concepts, data structure, and algorithms.
- Experience with or knowledge of automation technologies.
- Experience with or knowledge of IT analytics and reporting.
- Experience with or knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure).
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Essential for troubleshooting, implementing proactive issue identification and automation problem resolution.
- Help FinOps provide costs in real-time and cost analytics through toolsets like ADO and GitHub.
- Design, develop, and/or review code to ensure solutions meet the requirements of functional and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot azure application services.
- Support the automation of the provisioning/management and de-provisioning of infrastructure resources (could be virtual services in IaaS or virtualized Platforms in PaaS).
- Enhance knowledge of and compliance with preferred technologies, methodologies, standards, and policies.
- Create metrics, reports, and dashboards around ADO using tools like Power Automate, Power BI, etc.
- Independently meet with business groups involved in miscellaneous projects.
- Ideate, design, and develop process and technology improvements such as process or test automation
- Develop automated unit tests and/or automated UI tests.
- Supporting modern cloud code repositories and using CI/CD pipelines in platforms such as Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub or Jenkins.
- Using tools like Cisco AppDynamics, Microsoft Application Insights, Splunk, OUTA, etc., monitor, view, report, and manage resource performance reliability.
- Solutions may include but are not limited to developing various types of applications, web, mobile apps, full stack, or integrations hosted on-premises data centers or in the cloud.
- Assist in the development of white papers, presentations, or knowledge sharing for new and recommended solutions.
- Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function.
- Pull data from data analytic teams and generate reports on the data pipelines and how they are provisioned
- Create highly automated pipelines that can then continue to be managed as code (for example, using YAML-based pipelines instead of manually creating and managing pipelines through a GUI).
