The Information Security Engineer - Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for the support and management of portions of the GRC area including: Security Awareness, Metrics and Vulnerability Management, PCI, Vendor Risk Management, Privacy, and standardizing operational procedures for the area.


The candidate will help define and shape policy that builds a security-conscious culture while enabling innovation and flexibility. The candidate will aid in generating new ideas and initiatives while supporting the daily operations of the GRC squad. They will also contribute to the process and technology improvements including automation in the GRC business functions.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • In conjunction with GRC Manager, accountable for making improvements to, streamlining, and automating work associated with the GRC area.
  • Apply creativity, enthusiasm, and question the status-quo; to solve information security problems and innovate new solutions.
  • Assist in achieving annual PCI certification.
  • Contributes as a team member in key project in an information security squad.
  • Supports the design and implementation of tools and processes which proactively monitor and govern the effectiveness of Information security controls and services.
  • Applies industry and internal best practices in solution of technical and business problems.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain complex processes and risks in a concise manner to audiences ranging in technical experience.
  • Participates in large-scale Enterprise projects.
  • Assists with recommendations and implements changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective and/or to strengthen security measures.
  • Researches, recommends, and contributes to information security policies, standards, and procedures. Assists with the lifecycle management of information security policies and supporting documents.
  • Actively engage with Aaron’s team members to educate, inform, and spread a culture of security awareness to the company.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as the ability to collaborate with other business and information technology teams.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains proficiency on current technology and security topics pertaining to an information security squad.
  • Executes daily operational requirements as part of an information security squad.
  • Assists with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the information security program by developing, gathering, monitoring, and analyzing information security metrics for executive reporting.


Education And Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field


OR


  • 2-3 years prior experience in Information Security, Information Technology, IT Project management or related field

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Analytical thinking skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as the ability to collaborate with other business and information technology teams.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated desire for continual learning and improvement.
  • Ability to translate technical information into business communications.
