Parsons is seeking an Infectious Disease Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our organization's efforts in addressing new and emerging disease threats. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in infectious disease epidemiology, analytics, and modeling, as well as experience working with diverse stakeholders in public health, academia, and the private sector. As an Infectious Disease SME, you will play a critical role in developing innovative solutions and providing expert guidance to inform decision-making and protect public health.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Address the specific analytic requirements of each response effort, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our models and analyses are relevant, accurate, and timely.
• Prepare and deliver regular and timely reports to public health authorities and other relevant stakeholders, including advisory committees (e.g., CDC Board of Scientific Counselors), to ensure that our organization remains transparent and accountable in its response to infectious threats.
• Provide expert decision support and interpretation of analytic output, clearly communicating the implications for public health and informing the development of response strategies.
• Develop and adapt advanced analytic and modeling methods for new or emerging disease threats, ensuring that our organization remains at the forefront of infectious disease preparedness and response.
• Expand and maintain a robust network of partnerships across public health, academia, and the private sector, ensuring that we have access to the best possible resources and expertise in the event of an infectious threat.
• Develop and integrate outbreak analytics tools and platforms that enable rapid analysis, interpretation, visualization, and integration of data to support public health decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Experience with data visualization tools and platforms, as well as proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing innovative solutions to public health challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in infectious disease research, analytics, and modeling, with a focus on emerging disease threats.
• Demonstrated expertise in infectious disease epidemiology, including experience with outbreak investigations and response efforts.
• Doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, infectious diseases, or a related field.

Salary Range:

$50,300.00 - $88,000.00
