Job Description

Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Industrial X-Ray Technician to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A LEVEL I:

  • Position products, components, or parts for testing.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
  • Remove exposed film plate and deliver them to the x-ray scanner.
  • Read spool drawings, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection, and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.

  • Monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products.
  • Install radioactive source on the test subject according to radiation safety manual.
  • Install film plates on the test subject prior to exposure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines, policies/procedures, and regulations.
  • Adjust, clean, or repair products or processing equipment to correct defects found during inspections.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; preferred
  • Computer Skills: Not applicable
  • Certification/Licenses: Candidate must be able to pass homeland security background check, have a valid driver's license; have an industrial radiography certification identification card from the state of Texas or Louisiana
  • Experience: 1+ Years' Experience in pipe manufacturing and 2+ Years' experience in x-ray field
