The Industrial Hygienist Technician is responsible for providing support to the university’s occupational health and safety programs. This role will involve identifying potential occupational hazards, conducting exposure assessments, and providing guidance and recommendations to the university community. The position is entry-level and provides opportunities for growth and development.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health or a related field and 3 or more years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with asbestos abatement procedures and equipment.
Safety and health auditing and/or enforcement experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and practices.
Familiarity with industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and exposure assessment methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A willingness to learn and develop skills in the industrial hygiene field.
