Bark River Associates is currently seeking a qualified sales representative to help us sell and market MasterBrand to our existing dealer base as well as prospect for new dealers in the Chicagoland/Central IL, NW Indiana, and SE WI territory. This is an established territory with a multi-million dollar book of business. Bark River Associates is the sales agency made up of cabinet industry veterans, representing MasterBrand. Success in this position is earned by developing relationships with the dealer’s designers and helping them sell kitchens and supporting them when issues arise. You should have a passion to help designers provide homeowners with their dream kitchen or bathroom. This is an independent contractor role and the individual selected will be a 1099 contractor and work as a commissioned sales representative. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our products.

Objectives of this Role

  • Planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing dealers and prospects
  • Develop and implement a territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis
  • Generate leads and build relationships
  • Meet annual sales target through the successful implementation of MasterBrand programs and personal connection with the designers and dealers
  • Have a deep and comprehensive understanding of the cabinet industry
  • Work on pull-through selling, identifying and prospecting with builders, interior designers, and remodelers and bringing them to dealers to facilitate the sale

Qualifications


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct product and 2020 design software training as needed
  • Coordinate with other sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring
  • Impeccable attention to detail and follow-up ability with designers and dealers
  • Maintain working relationships with existing dealers to ensure exceptional service and identify potential new sales opportunities

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with 2020 design software
  • 2+ years in the cabinet industry (outside sales preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
