The Impound Clerk is responsible for the coordination and communication of impounded vehicles across ABG Division. This position will be responsible for contacting Impound Yards, Police Departments, Negotiating Vehicle Charges, Coordinating Field and Security Personnel to retrieve vehicle where necessary or with our third party provider vendor.

What you will do:

• Contacting police departments regarding Police holds and providing updates to the area security managers/field locations
• Placing renters in DNR when applicable
• Update Impound Database for tracking and reporting
• Closing rental contracts and ensuring all impound costs are applied to the contracts when applicable to ensure all impound related costs are recouped
• This position will be utilized to cross train functionally within Loss Prevention Department as needed
• Placing impounded vehicles on an impound alert hold
• Obtaining and providing necessary documents for the expedition of vehicle recovery from impound lots
• Uploading impound information via Damage Manager Portal for retrieval by our third party vendor
• Responding to inquiries from our vendor in a timely manner
• Working various exception reports
• Identifying contracts which need to be processed via ABG Claims department

What we're looking for:

• High School Degree/GED required

What you should bring:

• Basic knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office.
• Must be detailed oriented, and have excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle escalated customer issues
