As an accredited public health department, we're seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Immunization Adult and Adolescent Coordinator within the Division of Medical-Clinical Services, Immunization Section. Won't you join us? This is a Federal grant-funded position. The Immunization Adult and Adolescent Coordinator serves as coordinator for adult and adolescent immunization campaigns and projects. The primary responsibility of the Adult and Adolescent Coordinator is to provide oversight and leadership of the Georgia Adult Vaccine program (AVP). The Coordinator provides technical assistance and advice to AVP enrolled providers to develop, implement, and improve services related to the AVP. The Coordinator works with Immunization leadership and CDC partners to create, update, and implement AVP specific policies. Using the immunization information system and CDC Immunization databases, the Coordinator reviews pending AVP provider enrollment applications, ensure completeness, and grants approval for vaccine shipment activation.
Job Responsibilities
The Coordinator is further responsible for representing Georgia Immunization Program at meetings and conferences for the purpose of planning, implementation, or training with or in the absence of Immunization Program leadership. An individual serving in this position, in addition to meeting the general requirements, must also be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, possess problem solving skills, have proficient Microsoft skills and strong organizational skills. Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs other assignments as required.
  • Provides technical assistance and advice to internal and external partners related to the development, implementation, and improvement of program objectives.
  • Prepares documents, materials, and presentations for meetings.
  • Serves as coordinator for adult and adolescent immunization campaigns and projects.
  • Coordinates programs with other health care providers/organizations to promote optimal implementation of adult and adolescent immunization services.
  • Researches, prepares, and submits grant applications and grant reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote, enhance and integrate program goals in populations and services.
  • Leads team in setting section goals and priorities.

Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of experience performing work related to area of assignment, One year of which in a supervisory role OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of experience performing work related to area of assignment, Two years of which in a supervisory role OR One year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Prgm Consultant 3 (HCP092) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require licensure.
