Reporting to the imaging modality Supervisor, this position is responsible for expanding the capabilities of the technologists in the assigned Imaging modality. Responsibilities include assist radiologists, technologists, nurses and other clinical and support staff by carrying out assigned non-technical duties related to specific modality and listed under Job Specific Criteria. Also, under technical supervision they may assist in performing selected technical tasks. The incumbent will work closely with all Imaigng technologists, nurses and hospital personnel to provide prompt and courteous transportation of patients to expedite their care while in transit to/from the Imaging Department. The Tech Assistant performs other duties as assigned by the Imaging modality Supervisor and or the Imaging Department Director of Operations.
Qualifications
Education:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Medical terminology preferred.
Experience:
Any combination of training and/or experience that will allow the incumbent to perform the listed duties. Previous tech aide or medical office experience is desired.
Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:
CPR Certification and IV Certification is required
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.
