Job Description

IMAGE ANALYSIS RESEARCH SPECIALIST, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Preclinical Imaging and Testing Core Facility, to join an interdisciplinary team of researchers dedicated to offering imaging-based tools to the research community for the evaluation of novel therapies. Will work closely with the facility’s staff and other core facilities to develop a suite of image analytics services for the research community; provide user training in image analysis and maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial packages; evaluate a library of publicly available image processing tools and models; develop user-friendly pipelines for image segmentation, classification, and -omics analytics; develop custom image processing and quantification tools; work closely with the facility’s data scientist to curate imaging data and metadata for importation into knowledge graphs and to ensure harmonization of training datasets across imaging modalities; and be part of a broader developing digital framework for integration of imaging and non-imaging data.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: B.Sc. in a quantitative discipline; at least four years of relevant specialized experience; experience with machine learning frameworks; familiarity with deep network architectures for image processing; familiarity with image visualization and processing software; comprehensive understanding of concepts in machine learning such as object recognition, NLP, and transfer learning; mastery of at least one language for scientific computing; excellent communication skills; and the ability to work as part of a team and with users of diverse scientific backgrounds. PREFERRED: M.Sc. in a quantitative discipline, experience in data-rich projects, and knowledge of imaging technologies. Job #23045
