The Aquatics Manager oversees the daily operation of the aquatics department and is responsible for the safe operation of all park attractions, training of lifeguards, and slide attendants. The Aquatics Manager will respond to employee and guest injuries that occur on property.

Roles & Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all employee files and certifications are organized
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards for guest service and safety
• Train, schedule, and manage a large team of lifeguards and slide attendants
• Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies and procedures to create a safe environment for team members and guests
• Complete all aspects of incident reporting, investigate all incidents and recommend remediation
• Network and recruit during off season
• Implement and effectively execute all Ellis and Associates Training guidelines (aquatic safety consultants), in-service training classes and audits
• Oversee and manage all aspects of operations and guest service in the waterpark; lifeguards, slides, pools, attractions etc.
• Manage staff of 100+ employees
• Manage break schedules
• Support and enforce all park operating policies and procedures; serve as manager on duty as assigned
• Support our park through other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills
Must be at least 18 years of age

• Retrieve a 10 pound brick from at least 10 feet of water
• Minimum 3 years lifeguarding and supervisory experience
• Possess 20/25 correct vision (corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty)
• Required to work in various weather conditions
• Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Swim 200 yards
• Must be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively

Physical Demands
Requires sitting, kneeling, bending and standing for long periods of time, ability to walk long distances within the park and exposure to variable outside temperatures, including high heat.
