Sentara Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity professional to join our team as Identity and Access Management- Operations Manager !

This position is 100% remote but candidates must have a current residence in one of the follow states or being willing to relocate: AL ,DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, ME, MD, MN, NE, NH, ND, NV, OK, OH,PA, SC, NC, SD, TN, TX, WA, VA,WA, WV, WI

The Identity and Access Management Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate and effective application security under the governance of internal policies and procedures, as well as current regulatory requirements and guidelines. This individual will serve as an Access Management Operations leader for an Enterprise team within the organization.

The Identity and Access Management Security Leader will be responsible to

  • Promote corporate Identity and Access Management (IAM) standards to stakeholders and customers within the organization, while seeking opportunities for efficiencies, automation, and overall improvements.
  • This position will oversee day to day operations with staff and resources.
  • This position is operationally focused and works to resolve user needs in a timely manner with the team.
  • This leader will need to work well with other teams and set the IAM strategy with the IAM Enterprise Director and CISO.


Required Qualifications & skills:

The ideal candidate will have Epic experience, clinical setting, and great communication skills both written and oral.

Seeking someone with direct Epic security experience, a problem solver and a leader who can navigate difficult situations.
Bachelor's level degree

Experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
5 yrs relevant years experience with a degree
7 yrs relevant years’ experience without a degree

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $ 112,756 to $209,414 annually.

General Information Technology work involves managing or performing work across multiple areas of an organization’s overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration of: • IT Systems Software, Hardware, and Databases • Data & Voice Networks • Data Processing Operations • End User Technology & Software Support Conducts cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT projects as input to the organization’s IT roadmap. A Manager manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Responsibilities typically include: • Ability to organize and manage projects into a program or portfolio for proper resource coordination and scope definition. • Able to leverage relationships with leadership throughout the organization to resolve conflict and issues as they arise. • Able to leverage experience to manage larger, more complex projects and programs. • Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less). • Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. • Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.
