REPORTS TO: Pharmacy Manager (Retail)

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 1pm-5:30pm and Saturdays 12-3:30 (Every other or all options)

Two Part-Time openings!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides prompt customer service to pharmacy guests for all their ice cream needs. Willing and able to scoop ice cream for cones and dishes during scheduled hours of operation. Able to prepare other ice cream dishes based on menu options as customers desire. Required to maintain a clean and disinfected work environment, following all state and federal food service regulations. Will be required to train and display proper safe food-handling techniques and sanitary procedures upon hire and as prompted by the pharmacy manager. Will be required to help with other maintenance functions of the retail end of the pharmacy such as operating the cash register, cleaning, shelf organization, inventory management, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license

Experience:

• Previous experience in food service desired but not required
• Previous cash register experience desired but not required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Must arrive to work on time and remain on task for entire shift
• Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules
• Must be able to take direction from supervisor and more experienced co-workers
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have own method of transportation to and from work

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Keeps ice cream shop inventory properly stocked. Review inventory for outdates and expired product while not actively helping customers. Notifies the Retail Manager when ice cream product needs to be ordered.
• Assists the retail manager and pharmacy support persons with other retail duties as assigned such as cleaning, shelf organization, inventory management, running the cash register, answering phones, etc.
• Ensures all ice cream shop signage and pricing is up to date and displayed where the customers can see it.
• Trains on and maintains in store, all sanitary and cleaning regulations required by state and federal authorities in regards to safe food-handling.
• Greets all customers with a smile as they enter the building and verbally offers ice cream specials to customers as they approach the counter.
