Summary
Enable excellent supply services to our clinical partners, ensuring the Right Product, Right Quantity, Right Place and Right Time, by proactively managing the supply chain flow of assigned OR product categories and information from procurement through distribution.

Responsibilities*
- Support the procurement of capital, lease, contract, and equipment purchases and corresponding delivery if applicable.
- Verify and reconcile all invoice discrepancies sent from finance.
- Coordination of OR instrumentation orders and returns per the request of supporting clinicians.
- Analyze all items to ensure effective 5S and right sizing principles with Service Leads.
- Develop and maintain service specific training materials, including critical items and substitutes with Service Leads.
- Participate in health system wide initiatives when appropriate.
- Other duties as required.
- Keep apprised of daily changes in the Operating Room schedule to capture any urgent instrumentation requests.
- Serve as back-up for RCAT Maintenance Team, learning and supporting the RCAT system including all RCAT maintenance items: prices, Vendor IDs, contract numbers etc.
- Work with the Service Leads on service specific product alerts and recalls.
- Interface with Nurse Managers, Contracts and Procurement and Value Analysis team to obtain approvals for procurement of new product or equipment. Obtain written quotes and sole source documents as requested.
- Cross-train in multiple supply chain areas to cover additional / different supply chain responsibilities when needed.
- Establish relationships, maintain effective communication and collaborate with clinicians and leadership teams.
- Track and achieve assigned supply chain goals / key performance indicators.
- Support the UMHS OR supply chain team on projects, initiatives and other tasks as needed.
- Work with various preferred vendors to procure inventory carts, bins and other accessories, as required.
- Identify and lead the investigation of potential supply expense savings opportunities.
- Interface with supplier representatives on such matters as consignment levels, invoice accuracy, and instrument returns. Ensure that all issues are addressed on a timely basis.
Required Qualifications*
- 1+ years of experience in a Supply Chain related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Basic excel skills for data analysis.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates qualified must possess:
- Experience with problem solving, resolution and root cause analysis.
- Team first mentality and effective communication.
- Basic understanding of material flow, information analysis and electronic inventory.
- Proactive about continuous learning and improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to details and follow-up.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience with excel, flowcharting, value stream mapping and a basic understanding of statistics and forecasting techniques.
- Process and Results focused with an understanding of lean and basic supply chain functions, data and material flows through the Operating Rooms.
- Experience with supply chain, purchasing and inventory control as a main job function
- Experience with OR Personnel and practices.
