Job Summary
Suns Legacy Partners includes several companies and many different departments that support the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Footprint Center.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Hype Team with the Live Presentation and Entertainment Department. The Hype Team is a talented group of diverse performers who strive to be the best entertainers in the NBA. Hype Team is an acrobatic dunk and breakdancing team comprised of athletes who are able to engage fans with their energy. Members of the team are ambassadors, leaders in the community and role models.

What Will You Do
  • Attend promotional events, such as photography sessions, on behalf of the company.
  • Assist with in game promotions including but not limited to placement of props, organizing props needed, rolling t-shirts, etc.
  • Confidence with interacting and enthusiastically engaging the crowd by leading chants, distributing giveaways, t-shirt tosses to the fans in the stands, participating in on-court promotions, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Phoenix Suns Dancers Manager or the Entertainment Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining uniforms clean and maintained for games and appearances
  • Maintain the physicality required to perform high endurance routines
  • Ability to execute rigorous dunk performances with limited rehearsal time
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance
What We Need From Our Hype Team
  • Maintain a professional, judgment and maturity in working with professional athletes.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office
  • GED or equivalent required
  • Outgoing personality
  • Maintain a digital calendar up to date for games and events
  • Ability to communicate via email and text messages
  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to walk short/long distances

  • Ability to work and communicate in noisy environments
  • Schedule needs – Open schedule, Practices 2x weekly (7-10pm) and all Phoenix Suns home games. This position attends all home games and occasional events including community and member events both on and off site. Due to the game/event needs this role has a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
  • Capable of Public Communication, including public speaking
  • H-Heavy Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
  • Ability to judge distance
  • Indoor and/or outdoor work – Works indoors, away from the elements
  • Ability to respond quickly to sounds/alarms
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Climb Stairs
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
