Reckon Acres is a leading hydroponic greenhouse located in Charles City, Virginia. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Hydroponic Greenhouse Grower to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production of leafy greens, as well as vine crops. The Hydroponic Greenhouse Grower will also be in regular contact with Accounts to ensure proper product growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the production of leafy greens, and vine crops in a hydroponic greenhouse setting.

- Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions, including temperature, humidity, light levels, and nutrient levels.

- Implement and maintain hydroponic systems, including nutrient delivery systems, irrigation systems, and climate control systems.

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of greenhouse equipment and infrastructure.

- Monitor plant health and identify and address any pest or disease issues.

- Coordinate with Accounts to ensure proper product quantities are grown to meet customer demands.

- Collaborate with the operations team to plan and schedule planting, harvesting, and crop rotation.

- Train and supervise greenhouse staff in proper growing techniques and maintenance procedures.

- Keep accurate records of crop production, including yields, quality, and any issues encountered.

- Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in hydroponic greenhouse growing techniques.

-Livestock Chores: Assist with light livestock chores, including caring for chickens and pigs. This may involve feeding, watering, and basic maintenance tasks as needed. This responsibility is additional to the primary focus on hydroponic greenhouse production.

- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in controlled environment agriculture, specifically hydroponic greenhouse growing.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of hydroponic growing systems, including nutrient management, irrigation, and climate control.

- Ability to troubleshoot and address any issues related to plant health, pest control, and nutrient deficiencies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the Accounts team and other stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

- Physical stamina to work in a greenhouse environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

- Proficiency in using computer software for record-keeping and data analysis.
