L3Harris Technologies Space & Sensors Division is seeking an HVAC Specialist to join its facilities team located in Mason, Ohio. The HVAC Specialist will provide maintenance and sustainment of all specialized ground equipment to support the Space & Sensors location. This includes heating, ventilating, special refrigeration, and related refrigeration test equipment required for comfort or production related systems.

Essential Functions:

• Reconfigure/modify equipment as needed.
• Routine A/C and fuel filter changes, oil changes.
• Close out of service calls or preventive maintenance requests, as part of the software management system.
• Equipment property management, repair and maintenance, installation and startup of HVAC machinery and controls.
• Equipment maintenance, upkeep, and inspections.
• Maintain sufficient supplies to carry out anticipated/scheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace failed components.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosis and repair of electrical and control circuits of HVAC equipment.
• Observe and comply with all applicable OSHA, NEC, NFPA, EHS, ITT and local electrical, gas and safety codes and regulations. Perform proper safety practices and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Monitor/evaluate equipment performance.
• Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
• Communicate maintenance and repair activities to appropriate management.
• Maintain maintenance logs, trend problems, and anticipate future needs.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of exerience working from electrical and mechanical blueprints, schematics and sketches.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Two or more years experience in commercial HVAC work including troubleshooting and repairment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 9 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

• The ability to work alone and in a diverse team environment.
• Proficient interpersonal skills and ability to follow verbal & written instructions.
• Familiarity with low temperature refrigeration and building automation systems.
• Electrical knowledge of voltages up to 480VAC 60Hz along with control voltages up to 24VDC.
