Job Responsibilities
- Handles inquiries regarding cases and investigations within the office.
- Coordinate administrative details of witness interviews, evidence collection, and personal arrangements for required out-of-town travel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising attorneys, Attorney General, Chief Deputy Attorney General, or Deputy Attorney General.
- Assist prosecutors in trial preparation.
- Interview potential witnesses and suspects and procure necessary physical, documentary, or other evidence. Document the progress of the investigations. Maintain files and evidence for assigned investigations. Maintain a high level of organization to ensure that investigations are completed.
- Reviews digital forensics and social media searches related to cases and helps secure materials when necessary.
- Work as a team member with prosecution unit attorneys to assist in assessing cases and determining what assistance can be provided.
- Thirteen paid holidays.

- Training and experience in interviewing techniques and experience investigating child-related cases is preferred.
- General supervision by the supervisor to review schedules, approaches to issues, findings, and written reports.
- Preference for experience in digital forensics and social media investigations.
- Must also have sound research and presentation skills, as well as maturity and diplomacy in communicating with others.
- Because of the maturity and judgment required of the investigator, the employee is expected to make the supervisor aware of any problems, issues, or suggestions relating to duties or assignments.
