Job Description
Overview
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing complex human resources duties and coordinating or leading projects in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, recruitment/onboarding, benefits administration, and employment law compliance. Working collaboratively with colleagues, senior administration, and clinical leadership is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitates mediation for conflict management dialogues.
  • Conduct payroll and benefits audits and coordinate review and payment of benefits invoices .
  • Provides explanations and interpretations of Copley Health Systems policies and procedures and state and federal employment laws as they apply to CHSI.
  • Provides training and communication for new policies, and on-going compliance, policy development and interpretation.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisors.
  • Provides management support re: staffing (org structure, job description development, work-flow), performance management, and employee relations.
  • Perform recruitment activities. including but not limited to posting positions, processing applications, administrative control of ICIMS, evaluating and recommending applicants to management, advertising,and follow-up communications with candidates and managers.
  • Provides direct support to customers.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to staff and supervisors.
  • Implements HR strategies & programs.
  • Assists in the determination of staff development programming needs.
  • Functions as consultant to management.
  • Ability to objectively coach and train employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders through both written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data and information.
  • In-depth understanding and applications of FMLA, LOA, ADA, USERRA and working knowledge of Compensation & Benefits.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required to assist the department in achieving and maintaining its mission.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of demonstrated experience as a Human Resources professional, education, certification and training in which the knowledge, skills and abilities required to serve effectively can be transferred to this role.
Experience Requirements:
  • At least one year of Human Resource management experience preferred with basic understanding and knowledge of legal, legislative, regulatory issues in a rapidly changing, complex environment.
License and Certification:
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), and/or SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) - Preferred
