Job Description
**5+ years of experience in employee benefits is required for this role; Heavily benefits-focused.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Health and Retirement Benefits
* Troubleshoot benefits enrollment issues for employees.
* Liase with payroll/benefits software contacts, insurance broker, benefits provider contacts.
* Assist with annual testing and audits of benefit plans.
* Assist with annual benefits annual open enrollment process.
* Provide effective advice and coaching to field HR reps, employees and line managers on benefits matters.
* Assist with new hire enrollments, plan election and dependent changes.
Payroll
* Assist, as needed, in the coordination the payment activities to ensure that the organization's payroll is processed accurately and on time. Activities may include accounting, distributing and preparing payments, benefits, taxes, and payroll deductions; calculating overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, and bonuses; maintaining payroll records.
* Assist, as needed, in preparation of payroll, verifying that all entries are posted correctly.
* Keep up to date with legal changes, relative to payroll laws and regulations.
* Support continued improvement in Payroll processes and organization.
* Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, employee contracts and government legislation.
* Answer questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
HR Process and Procedures Improvements
* Propose and manage HR process improvements in line with business needs; and coach local HR teams and line managers in effective implementation locally.
* Contribute to strategic projects and Group initiatives with other members of the HR community, particularly when these impact Compensation & Benefits and Mobility.
HR Administration
* Administer the organization's established HR programs so that they are implemented efficiently and equitably and comply with all relevant collective agreements, individual employment contracts, regulations, laws, and the organization's employment policies and standards.
* Coordinate maintenance of the storage systems, training documents, personnel files in the assigned relevant area.
Employee Relations
* Provide advice to supervisors on employee issues, including MbO, salary round-off, regulations, conflicts, change management.
* Provide advice to employees on HR related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Human Resources, or similar.
At least 1 year of experience in Payroll processing and 5 years of employee benefits administration experience.
Personality with a high integrity, approachable and pragmatic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively and sensitively with individuals from a various range of culture, backgrounds and at all levels of the organization.
Effective team player with ability to collaborate with HR peers and line leaders internationally, and with proven influencing skills. Strong business acumen.
Creative and innovative thinker that delivers practical solutions, achieve objectives and drive to completion under minimum supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet agreed deadlines.
Computer literate including Microsoft Office, one or more payroll and HRIS platform.
