Job Description
POSITION: HR COORDINATOR


JOB NUMBER: 20230711


STATUS: Full Time


STARTING PAY: Based on experience


HOURS: Monday thru Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 11:30am; Additional hours may be required based on project needs


LOCATION: Baton Rouge, Louisiana


The HR Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations functions. The position will also provide administrative support to a small Accounting group. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who can meet challenge and continuously develop himself or herself on a career level.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have knowledge of current employment laws and regulations
  • Must possess a positive, service-oriented, and professional demeanor
  • Strong listening, speaking, and writing skills


TYPICAL DUTIES:


  • Perform other administrative duties in support of HR and a small accounting group
  • Process new hires, changes to employment, terminations, etc.
  • Will serve as the primary backup to the payroll coordinator
  • Maintain company benefit programs
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on staffing needs and recruiting
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist in HR policy development and documentation
