Responsibilites

The HR Business Partner works with business unit leaders to develop and deliver strategic Human Resource solutions to achieve business unit goals. This strategic role serves on the facility senior leadership team for Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West or Midtown and is responsible for developing and executing talent strategies to drive operational performance.
  • Collect and analyze HR data and develop recommendations and action plans to address issues.
  • May provide resolution of employee relations and performance issues.
  • Partner with business unit leaders in the process of performance management, associate engagement survey interpretation and action planning, patient satisfaction strategies, and training and development needs in order to develop a culture that supports achievement of objectives.
  • Provide counsel and support to leaders and/or associates in the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of HR programs, communications, and initiatives.
  • Use knowledge of Human Resources, legal, and regulatory requirements in conjunction with market best practice to ensure business unit compliance and competitiveness.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to align Human Resources practices with business strategy and identify potential barriers to goal attainment.
This role will support one of the following two hospitals in Nashville, TN - Ascension Saint Thomas West or Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown.

Ascension Saint Thomas West is an award-winning facility and has earned the Advanced Ventricular Device (VAD) and Chest Pain certification by the Joint Commission. Its Emergency Department is also the first in the state to be recognized for specialized care for patients age 64 and older by the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Being a destination for specialty care, Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital is named the #2 hospital in Tennessee and is rated among the elite 12% of hospitals nationwide to earn “Best” honors in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-2023 Best Regional Hospital rankings.


Requirements

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
  • 7 years experience preferred.
  • 5 years experience required.
