General Definition and Conditions of Work
The Housing and Community Services Department works to implement the Town"s affordable housing goals, to strengthen the network of community nonprofits, to connect Carrboro"s most vulnerable residents to vital services, and to provide response to resident concerns about housing and other basic human needs.
The Director of Housing and Community Services is appointed by the Town Manager. This position is responsible for planning, research, documentation, evaluation, development, and management of the Town Council"s affordable housing and community services priorities and goals and department-specific initiatives as noted in Carrboro Connects. This position reports to the Assistant Town Manager and supervises all personnel within the Department.
