Job Overview:

A Houseperson is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms hallways and public areas in the hotel servicing guest rooms daily. Houseperson assists the Housekeepers with stripping room linen and trash in rooms as well as around the property.

Job Duties

• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers;
• Greet guests in a friendly manner;
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by the supervisor;
• Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed;
• Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed;
• Maintain cleanliness of the public bathroom and public areas during evening events;
• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies from room attendants; this may include taking supplies directly to attendants;
• Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed;
• Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair;
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service;
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash;
• Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
• Greet and acknowledge guests;
