The general duties of the Housekeeping Working Supervisor is to maintain the safety and cleanliness of Trine University assets (classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, auditoriums, locker rooms, weight rooms, exercise area) and any other areas inside and outside assigned building. Assist housekeeping manager with supervision and training of department employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to, the following: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, striping and waxing of floors; cleaning carpets, washing windows and window sills; select, measure and mix products for cleaning jobs; clean, sanitize and polish restrooms and their fixtures; clean and polish classroom and office furniture; remove waste and debris; replace light bulbs and clean fixtures; set up tables and chairs for special events; stock closets with cleaning and paper products and sweep and shovel walkways 10’ from all entrances. Maintain quality control, through cleanliness inspections, train staff on cleaning processes, train staff on use of housekeeping cleaning equipment. Provide director for department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager. Assist manager with scheduling and implementation of schedules. Assist with laundering of housekeeping supplies, guest house and Stadium suite linens.

Education And/or Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
