Overview


Do you have Housekeeping and Supervisory Experience? Do you love organizing? You could join our team! We have an immediate opening for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating guestroom housekeeping functions.


Responsibilities


  • May be required to clean rooms as business needs dictate.
  • Training Housekeeping staff.
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants’ carts, linen closets, stairways and landings.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Report on progress of all out-of-order rooms to Maintenance Engineer and Guest Services Manager (AGM).
  • Maintain key and inventory control.
  • Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance and forward to Engineering. Follow through on each work order until completed.
  • Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the AGM Office on time.
  • Maintain contact with the Front Office and/or Engineering throughout the shift.
  • Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to the standards.
  • Oversee the cleaning and restocking of Room Attendants’ carts.
  • Oversee the daily assignment and performance of Room and House Attendants' duties.
  • Inspect Room Attendant Team’s work performance to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
  • Inspect rooms and report their availability to the Front Desk.
  • Ensure completion of cleaning projects on an ongoing basis.


Qualifications


  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. College course work in related field helpful.
  • At least two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
