Job Description
About UsA confidential and private individual is seeking a full-time Housekeeper. The Housekeeper will support the residence in ensuring a clean environment, pet care, and assisting with additional household needs as required.Position OverviewA private residence is seeking a dependable and experienced Housekeeper with a strong track record of providing general housekeeping duties. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining home to the highest standards and will report directly to the Personal Assistant. The housekeeper will ensure that the property is always equipped for the principals and their guests.The successful individual in this role will be a dynamic, versatile, and resourceful. The ideal individual must be a self-starter who is service-oriented and enjoys working in a team environment that is mission and results driven.

  • The successful candidate will need to be flexible and available, working approximately 5 days each week for 8 hours at a time
  • Flexibility around hours and days may be required to meet changing needs of the principals


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain all personal winter and summer gear.
  • Act as an added layer of security, communicating concerns or vulnerabilities quickly.
  • Provide household support with pet care and cleanliness, floral arrangement care, and other personal errands as requested.
  • Receive, manage, and sort incoming and outgoing mail / packages including printing return labels and transporting to mail carriers.
  • Consistently check for damaged household goods, light bulb outages, technical problems, and any other household issues. Report any issues to the Personal Assistant in a timely manner.
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and compost items.
  • Pre-Arrival grocery and supply shopping for entire household; refrigerator and pantry organization ensuring all required items are in stock with family in residence.
  • Able to prepare light meals or assist with meal preparation preferred but not required.
  • Thoroughly clean and maintain the entire residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, playrooms, and all living spaces. Ensure all areas, including outdoor spaces are maintained, clean, organized, and safe for children and pets.
  • Able to supervise all vendor work; comfortable communicating with vendors and reporting their performance to the Personal Assistant
  • Diligent care of all clothing, perform regular laundry, and closet organization. Manage clothing sent out for professional care.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Assist family with packing and unpacking on arrivals and departures.
  • Assist family with setup and breakdown for entertaining or events including table setting and beverage station setup.
  • Perform regularly scheduled tasks and preventative maintenance on all household appliances and technical systems. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal task lists.

  • Able to assist with medium sized dog, comfortable with all elements of pet care from feeding to walking
  • Highly resourceful team-player, solution-oriented, and comfortable operating with incomplete information.
  • Technically Savvy; Able to communicate through email, text, and some basic apps.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and ability to maintain grace under pressure when adapting to a rapidly changing environment, including reprioritization or reassignment of responsibilities.
  • Patient and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity. Demonstrated ability to protect privacy and maintain discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
  • Professional in appearance, demeanor, and execution of responsibilities.

Qualifications


  • Ability to pass background and driving record checks. Legally able to work in the United States. Valid driver’s license.
  • Comfortable working in a family environment with pets.
  • Required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and report your vaccination status with relevant documentation as a condition of employment. “Fully vaccinated” means you
  • Proven experience working independently, preferred but not required.
  • Five years of housekeeping or relevant hospitality experience in a supportive role requiring a high level of client service.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English and feel comfortable communicating with principals and management regularly.
  • Willingness to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
