REPORTS TO:
Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPR certification as required
• Must be able to safely and successfully perform job related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for IDPH Health Care Worker Registry

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

• Perform floor care with proper equipment as scheduled or needed
• Clean thoroughly all resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, hallways, and other areas including furniture, equipment, windows, floors, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or needed
• Restock items in resident rooms, bathrooms, and other areas as needed
• Follow all infection control practices and precautions, including routine practices and additional precautions where required
• Clean soiled furniture with proper equipment as needed
• Empty trashcans, reline with plastic bags, and transport trash to appropriate receptacles
• Use proper PPE according to SDS sheets applicable to chemicals in use, and according to infection control practices
• Report unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to prevent accident/injury
• Care for multiple residents in facility
• Perform extra, additional, or deep cleanings as needed or scheduled
• Observe and promote Resident Rights. Report to Nurse, Director of Nursing, or Administrator when these rights are not uniformly and consistently applied within the facility.
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean and sanitary state and an attractive manner in accordance with procedures as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor, assuring the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times
• Perform thorough cleaning of all rooms on a rotating basis
• Ensure cleaning supplies are well stocked and report to supervisor when items are needing replenishing or restock

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Complete required training, online training,
• MANDATORY REPORTING OF SUSPECTED ABUSE/NEGLECT/MISAPPROPRIATION/EXPLOITATION to administrator, director or nursing, or charge nurse if administrator and/or DNS are not in building.

Job Type: Part-time 14 hours/week
Salary: $13.00 per hour
