Hourly Research Assistant Jobs

The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah is seeking a Research Assistant to assist faculty in the Dean’s Office with several scholarly projects, undertaken by Dr. Boyd Richards, Director of Educational Research and Scholarship. These projects involve different types of investigations (both qualitative and quantitative) focused on teaching and learning in the health sciences. Projects often involve collaboration with health sciences faculty and students. A priority project will be to analyze data, using both descriptive and inferential statistics, from a survey of students regarding self-authorship, help-seeking behavior, and career planning. The survey, designed by Dr. Tom Hurtado, Senior Director of Student Affairs, has been administered for two years as part of a career planning and professional identity development curriculum, known as RealMD.

Students who have previous qualitative research experience and/or are majoring in or completing a graduate degree in a research-focused social and behavioral science or education program is a plus!
