Job Summary:

Hotel Food & Beverage Host/Cashier Cast Members are responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience at our table service and quick service locations by greeting guests and anticipating their needs throughout their entire dining experience. They are responsible for welcoming and interacting with Guests in a positive and friendly manner while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Quick Service Host/Cashier – Greets and takes the Guest's order, enters the order into the system, verifies the Guest's order by repeating the total order back to the Guest. Assembles the Guest's order and receives monies for payment. Should have cash handling capabilities and be able to count back change. Read POS tickets to fill guest's orders for take-out and dine in. Responsible of maintaining accurate cashier's fund and complete end-of-day administrative duties
  • Host/Seater - Escort Guests to their tables, maintain menu cleanliness, monitor restaurant lobby. Retrieves high chairs and boosters for little Guests. Pull chairs out for Guests (involves repetitive pushing and pulling
  • Host/Assigner - Assign open tables to Guests, remain aware of dining room status at all times (necessary to quote accurate wait times, communicate with podium staff, management)
  • Host/Greeter – Assist Guests with directions, event schedules and other information and assistance as needed to provide excellent Guest service. Record Guest information, make Priority Seating arrangements for restaurants in the Resort, quote accurate times based on dining room status and staffing levels, check in guests into the restaurant and gather Guest information on special events and celebrations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Ability to multi task and work in a very fast paced environment
  • Exhibits a positive, friendly and helpful attitude to our guests and fellow cast members
  • Can complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Able to do heavy lifting occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • To be eligible for transfer you are required to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment by The Walt Disney Company (TWDC).
  • Understands principles of proper sanitation
  • For some available positions, you must be 21 years of age
  • Willing to follow instructions & take direction
  • Self-directed (can complete tasks with minimal supervision)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant experience; understanding of full service environment
  • Previous experience in a fine dining table service restaurant
  • Previous experience working in a hospitality or tourism related role is preferred

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
