Basic Job Function:Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service while promoting the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Use of Company Vehicle: Not designated to drive a company vehicle Minimum Requirements: Entry-level experience in food and beverage service preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent credentials preferredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMust have ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situationsConsistently aspires to fulfill our core Company values (Benevolence, Commitment, Compassion, Fairness, Integrity, Quality, Reliability & Teamwork)Exhibits the Sea Island Five-Star Standards with co-workers and staffMust possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changesMust be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company Dress Code Policy Tasks/Responsibilities: Daily set-up and breakdown of the Solarium Coffee StationComply with the Health Code Regulations by ensuring all food and beverage products are labeled and maintained safelyEnsure that the Solarium and Coffee Station meets our high standard of cleanliness and proper presentationReplenishing of the Solarium Coffee Station as needed keeping all items stocked and freshMaintain high visibility in the Solarium during the coffee breakInteract with members and guests in a host/hostess fashion, contributing to the overall ambiance that is welcoming and hospitableClear used items throughout shiftMaintain cleanliness in all areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storeroom(s)Re-stocking and clean the Solarium Pantry as neededWork with all resort departments (i.e Bake Shop, Front Desk, In Room Dining, etc) to maintain maximum rapport and open communication channels to anticipate and satisfy member and guest needsAnswer any questions guests may have about Sea Island or the area to the best of one’s abilityFollow up on Guest/Member issues as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership Physical Requirements: Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsIf applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs intermittently throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazardsAbility to maintain compliance with Sea Island’s Company Resort Professional Image Policy
