Brief Description
Vitalant is currently seeking Hospital Distribution Technicians to facilitate the delivery of blood and blood products to our local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or if you’re new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to train, mentor, and help you grow.
Our ideal candidate is looking for fast paced environment with a steady schedule and additional compensation opportunities such as on-call and shift differentials.
As a Hospital Distribution Technician, you will use your customer service skills to build relationships with our customers by providing quick and accurate shipments of blood and blood products. Every day you’ll be having fun making a measurable difference in your community and throughout the US.
What To Expect
Base Hourly Rate: 18.80 - 19.45 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 pm - 0730 am
Night Shift Differential - 13% (applied to base hourly rate)
Weekend Shift Differential - 8%

We’re looking for someone who can:
  • Provides exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspect and appropriate inventory received shipments of blood and blood products.
  • Work as part of a team and independently to achieve daily goals.
  • Maintains accurate records of transactions and processes associated fees.
  • Professionally and safely delivers blood product orders to Vitalant hospital customers. In certain locations, this will include the use of a company vehicle.
  • Communicates with customers regarding order fulfillment, order turn-around times, estimated arrival time, product availability, or other questions or concerns customers may have.
  • Meets required delivery timeframes to ensure logistics parameters and customer expectations.
Requirements
  • 6 months customer service experience
  • Active in-state driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
  • High school graduate or GED
