Description


Early Head Start has an opening for a full-time Home Visitor position working 35 hours per week year-round. This position will be working out of the North Perry Head Start Center in Leopold, Indiana. Responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of education and support services through weekly home visits with enrolled children and families, encouraging, teaching, and demonstrating age-appropriate child development activities for infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children.


Requirements


Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Home-based CDA or comparable credential and experience implementing home-based learning experiences required; knowledge of child development and experience working with children birth-5 required. Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance and be able to travel both locally and out-of-area as necessary. Travel may require overnight stays.


Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
