  • Physical Requirement/Working Conditions
      Majority of the time is spent sitting, using office equipment, such as a telephone, or typing. Some periods of standing to operate photocopy machine, or walking to deliver memos, etc. Extensive computer work, requiring eye-hand coordination - requiring reading information from a computer screen or hard copy and inputting data into computer system. Must be able to answer phones and respond to customers, hearing within normal range with or without accomodation -Light bending and stooping required. Hand eye coordination for operation of computer equipment. External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.

  • Minimum Experience Requirement
      Two years of prior office/clerical experience required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; minimum typing speed of 60 wpm. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Ability to compose correspondence and proof assignments to ensure accuracy of documents. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Detail attentiveness required. Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self- direct. Previous experience in a health care environment preferred. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
