High School Youth Minister

St. Martha's Faith Formation is looking for a dynamic, faith-filled, and passionate person to join our youth ministry team. This is a full-time position with benefits. This position would primarily serve high school students as part of a comprehensive youth ministry at Saint Martha Catholic Church.
Responsibilities include:

• Attend and facilitate Sunday Confirmation preparation sessions, Wednesday Upper Room, and other youth ministry events.
• Assist the other youth ministers at middle school youth ministry events.
• Train and work with high school students who will assist our adult core team members.
• Maintain ongoing communication with volunteers, students, and parents and provide weekly resources to assist catechists and families in their growth in faith.
• Help recruit and train a core team of adults to serve our students as catechists and small-group leaders.
• Work as part of a team of three youth ministers to provide a comprehensive youth ministry program, catechizing the middle school and high school students (grades 6-12) of our parish.
• Be available to help with retreats and summer programs for youth ministry.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree; a specialization in theology, religious education, or youth ministry is preferred.
• An understanding of youth culture and a desire to work with youth.
• Candidate must be a practicing Catholic with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
