High School Mathematics Tutors (Freelance)

Summary

Nagwa is excited to announce plans to deliver online classes for US High School math students starting in August 2023. We are now hiring outstanding freelance US High School mathematics tutors to run two online live teaching sessions a week (one hour and fifteen minutes each) for 30 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Guiding students through a series of examples and dealing with their questions in the sessions.
• Conducting online interactive sessions for students through the Nagwa Classes app to support learning.
• Presenting the lesson materials in a clear and memorable way.
• Running engaging activities to ensure effective learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Tutors are needed for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. Each tutor will teach one of these courses and should have at least 3-5 years of experience teaching the applicable US High School mathematics subject.
• Flawless written and spoken English.
• Experience in differentiated instruction to cater for different learning needs and styles.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics.
• Previous online tutoring experience is highly desirable.

Compensation

• An additional payment based on 20% of student session attendance fees will be paid to tutors on completion of the course.
• This is a remote freelance position aimed at candidates in the United States.
• The compensation is $50 (USD) per one-hour and fifteen-minute session delivered, billable on a monthly basis.
