Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Construction Services team in Houston,TX. In this role you will travel to existing job sites and operate a variety of heavy equipment.

Role accountabilities:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible but not limited to, the maintenance and inspection of provided equipment and to f ollow instructions from supervision on site and carry out tasks as instructed with safety in mind. You will also, c omplete heavy equipment operations in a variety of weather conditions

Operate equipment in a professional and safe manner - Operators will be required to complete a competency test for knowledge of equipment, inspection, maintenance and o perate equipment in a professional and safe manner - Operators will be required to complete a competency test for knowledge of equipment, inspection, maintenance and operation. You will be expected to a s trong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance (inspections, greasing, fueling)

Must be willing to travel to project sites that may include out of town projects. (100% travel), have the ability to shovel and carry materials up to 50 lbs and a willingness to occasionally work long hours, atypical hours or weekends.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience with heavy construction equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience traveling for work
  • 40 hour HAZWOPER certified
  • Previous experience on environmental construction sites
