Essential Functions Under direct supervision is learning how to operate overhead crane or other heavy equipment.

  • Conducts daily inspection of equipment.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures.
  • Inspects incoming material and fills out necessary paperwork.
  • Moves material to and from designated areas.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area.

Able to demonstrate knowledge of general equipment, maintenance, care and use of safety equipment on each piece of machinery.

Understand and demonstrate proper rigging for lifting of material and other equipment, hand signals, spotter responsibility and lesser skilled work.

Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions on material paperwork.

Good written and oral communication skills.

CDL is preferred.

Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Entry level. Able to demonstrate knowledge of general equipment, maintenance, care and use of safety equipment on each piece of machinery.
