This position is based out of Kalispell, MT - and includes some travel throughout Montana and neighboring states.

GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment used in utility line construction.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs all vehicles and heavy equipment which is used in utility line construction. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, digger derricks, aerial man lifts, horizontal directional drills (boring equipment), forklifts, tractors, backhoes, excavators, and truck mounted cranes.

2. Orders/Requisitions new parts as needed for equipment repairs. Follows company procedures with regards to purchase order process and approval.

3. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

4. Responsible for the shops, plant, and parking areas. Including general housekeeping and appearance, disposal of trash, parts and materials that have no value. Re-cycle scrap and sell off used parts and materials that have cash value.

5. Ensure the security of the buildings, tools and equipment, and other assets, at all times.

6. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Familiar with Company policies, guidelines, and OSHA in order to rectify any safety hazards or violations.

7. Receive calls and requests for repairs from field crews. Analyze and prioritize needs and respond accordingly. Maximize use of vendor delivery services.

8. Establish and supervise field lubrication services.

9. Process and route all paperwork including time sheets, packing slips, invoices, memorandums, DOT information, expense sheets, and faxes, etc. accurately and timely.

10. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Wage is DOE and includes a competitive benefit package
