Job Summary

We are seeking a Heavy Construction Field Mechanic to join our IH 10 Graytown Rd project in Marion, TX. FIVE plus years of recent Construction Field Mechanic experience is preferred. Ability to work on Caterpillar, John Deere, Link-Belt, Manitowoc/Grove, Gomaco, and other major manufacturer equipment. Essential Functions

• Maintain accurate record keeping of all daily tasks
• Work safely and follow all instructions related to company policies and regulatory agencies during the performance of duties
• Keep the work area clean
• Perform visual inspections on equipment and provide written reports of conditions and deficiencies
• Must be responsible and dependable
• Produce clean and accurate work
• Interpret parts and service manuals in order to properly diagnose repairs needed as well as order appropriate parts

Required Skills & Experience

• Flexibility and willingness to work nights or weekends as needed
• Provide own hand tools (up to 1 ½ wrenches and sockets) and storage necessary to perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment (larger tools will be supplied by Zachry)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and capable of following directions and effectively working in a team environment
• Ability to recognize and react to safety-related issues
• A good attitude is a MUST
• Welding / Fabricating experience a plus
• Computer skills a plus
• Troubleshooting and/or diagnostic skills for Engine, Transmission/Drivetrain, Hydraulic, Electrical, A/C, On Board Computer, and Electronic Control Module
• Five plus years of experience in the Heavy Equipment Maintenance industry or an educational degree in Diesel related technical courses is preferred
• Ability to work on Caterpillar, John Deere, Link-Belt, Manitowoc/Grove, Gomaco, and other major equipment manufacturer machinery
