Job Description
The HVAC Technician position is a key role at DNA Heating and Cooling. You are the “tip of the spear” when it comes to serving our customers. Your quality of service, friendly demeanor, attention to detail and professionalism go a long way in making [Company] a memorable company in the eyes of our clients.
The HVAC Technician represents the future leadership of DNA’s Operations Department. HVAC Techs who show a willingness to learn new things and effectively put them into practice have an excellent opportunity to pursue a greater role with DNA Heating and Cooling.
Summary of Responsibilities
HVAC Technician responsibilities include traveling to customers’ homes or businesses, talking with customers about their HVAC needs, identifying problems, performing maintenance and installations as needed, and prioritizing calls in coordination with Dispatch. In summary, you will work with customers to ensure their HVAC units run smoothly at all times and perform necessary installations and repairs.
Production
● Efficiently work with your apprentice, doing your part to ensure that all [Company] standard operating procedures are followed.
● Timely arrival and completion of all scheduled work each day.
● Ensure appropriate load-out of work vehicle(s) each day.
● Look for opportunities to increase daily revenue through simple up-sells and additional scheduled work (when ahead of schedule), in coordination with Dispatch
● Meet or exceed Company production targets each day
● Ensure that all of your personal work meets or exceeds [Company]’s quality standards.

Customer Relations
● Do your part to ensure that each customer is extremely pleased with the experience.
● Follow all standard operating procedures and customer service principles at all times.
● Conduct yourself in a professional and pleasant manner at all times.
Operations
● Do your part to make sure all tools and materials are loaded up and accounted for before leaving the shop or a jobsite.
● Maintain clear and frequent communication with Dispatch throughout the day

Requirements
● Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship OR proven work experience as an HVAC technician or similar role
● Current required state HVAC technician license (Check your state and local requirements and update accordingly)
● Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required
● Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles
