Summary The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for accurate and timely collection of accounts receivable, and that the team are compliant with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. The manager will provide on-the-job training and development of direct reports. The ideal candidate is analytical, thorough, detail oriented, and technical.

This position is located onsite at our Gilbert, AZ Administration Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management Team to establish workflows for the team and decisions on operational activities and strategic goal setting
• Review statistics with RCM to identify any necessary plan of correction
• Design, develop, and implement process improvements to increase performance, enhance collection production, and minimize risk
• Able to handle a fast-paced environment where demands can shift constantly
• Responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable follow-up and collections on insurance balances and self-pay, including making telephone calls, accessing payer websites, and resolving disputes
• Accurately and thoroughly document the pertinent collection activity performed and follow up in a timely manner
• Ensure all accounts are worked timely and accurately
• Lead, manage, mentor, and train revenue cycle teams to ensure operational excellence (10-15 employees)
• Review monthly performance reports, develop strategies for identifying areas of under producing segments of the portfolio and focus recovery efforts among the staff
• Assist with external and internal audits
• Additional duties and projects as department needs change

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a dental billing practice or similar environment
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in medical billing and healthcare accounts receivable
• 5+ years of management experience
