Health & Wellness Director, Puentes de Salud

Summary:


  • Develop and operate Puentes de Salud's Wellness services and programming. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:


  • Establish and supervise related staff and volunteer teams; review and select staff, volunteers, and assist in managing related volunteer coordinators.
  • Identify areas of process and policy improvement.
  • Oversee Wellness initiatives - responsible for the development and implementation of Wellness services in social work, client assistance programming, and other community-based wellness initiatives and outreach.
  • Develop programming structures and procedures, maintain and analyze qualitative and quantitative service data.
  • Serve as Project Lead in the Cultural Literacies Project - responsible for collaboratively envisioning and then leading operations for this new integrated, community-based arts and education programming.
  • Assist in grant writing and meeting reporting requirements.
  • Consult with Puentes leadership on service evaluation, strategic planning, and growth of the organization.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and service areas to oversee operations of programming, services, research, and outreach as they relate to Wellness programs.

Education or Equivalent Experience:


  • Master's Degree and 3+ years experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years experience required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office required.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work well independently required.
  • Oral and written fluency in Spanish required.
  • Prior experience with immigrant populations, program development, management, qualitative research and IRB guidelines preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with clients, graduate students, clinicians, and staff required.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, planning, and organizational skills required.
