Health Unit Coordinator (Huc)

Elim Wellspring, a 4-star rated, 105-bed senior care campus formerly known as Elim Care & Rehab Center of Princeton, is hiring an organized, detail-oriented Full-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working a varied schedule including every other weekend.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:

• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
• Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
• Complete other tasks as requested.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) skills and requirements:

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• 2+ years’ experience in LTC or Medical records preferred.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
• Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification required.
